Series 45 Video Overview

This video features the Series 45 valve which is our all ductile-iron valve that meets or exceeds all of the requirements of AWWA C509. Since they are all ductile iron, they also meet or exceed the requirements of AWWA C515 with the full wall thickness of AWWA C509. It is available in all end configurations including grooved ends, tapping Valves, and OS&Y. The grooved ends are to AWWA C606.

Series 45 Key Features

Resilient seat gate valve with handwheel, OS&Y, for water and neutral liquids in fire protection applications, rated working pressure 2"-12": 250 psi / 14"-16": 200 psi. Max. 160°F The series 45 valve is our all ductile-iron valve that meets or exceeds all of the requirements of AWWA C509. Since they are all ductile iron, they also meet or exceed the requirements of AWWA C515 with the full wall thickness of AWWA C509. It is available in all end configurations including grooved ends, tapping Valves, and OS&Y. The grooved ends are to AWWA C606.

Series 55 Video Overview

This video overview features the Series 55 valve which is our large diameter ductile-iron gate valve meeting or exceeding the requirements of AWWA C515. It comes in MJ x MJ, MJxFL, and FLxFL versions. All valves come pre-fitted with an F16 mounting plate to mount gearing or motorized actuators. Bevel or spur gearing is available on request for 18" to 24". Bevel or spur gearing is supplied on all 30" and 36" valves. UL/ULC Listed & FM Approved.

Series 55 Key Features

Flanged gate valve to AWWA C509/C515 for water and other neutral liquids to 160°F AVK gate valves are designed with built-in safety in every detail. The wedge is fully vulcanized with AVK’s own EPDM rubber compound with NSF drinking water approval. It features an outstanding durability due to the ability of the rubber to regain its original shape, the double bonding vulcanization process and the sturdy wedge design. The stem seal system, the high strength stem and the thorough corrosion protection safeguard the unmatched reliability.
