Series 53 Key Features

Ball check valve for water and neutral liquids to max 160°F. AVK has acquired the Hillen de Lelie line of Ball Check Valves. The HDL 5087/AVK Series 53 ball check valve is used for industrial and municipal back flow protection. The simple and cost effective design is an ideal solution to liquids containing high solids content. Sizes available from 1 ½ to 24-inches in diameter.

Additional Features

  • Meets or exceeds the requirements of AWWA C508
  • Resilient seat is a steel core coated with EDPM
  • Bronze seat is a steel core coated with EDPM with a bronze insert
  • Lever and weights available, either mounting left or right
  • Body and bonnet are high strength ductile-iron
  • Available with tapping boss tapped and plugged
  • Completely opens to provide a clear, straight through waterway
  • Meets the laying lengths of ANSI/ASME B16.10
  • 250 psi working pressure rating
