AVK SUPPORTSeries 66 gate valve with HDPE Fusible Pipe Ends is, typically used for on/off service; it is not designed to control flow. HPDE is gaining popularity in North America as it does not leak, is resistant to corrosion, does not allow biological growth, and has superior seismic resistance.
The Series 66 Gate Valve conforms to the requirements of AWWA C515, the standard for “Reduced Wall, Resilient Seated Gate Valves for Water Supply Service”, and is in compliance with NSF 61 and NSF 372 standards for drinking water system components.
The AVK Series 66 Gate Valve uses the same high quality design and valve components as our Series 45 and Series 65 gate valves, with the added benefit of PE pipe connections.
American AVK recommends that all water distribution systems have a routine maintenance program established for all components of the water delivery network. For Resilient Seated Gate Valves, we recommend that ANSI/AWWA C509 (latest), Appendix A, as an excellent reference for this.
